MSN Dating: Uhh, try again.

not tucking in a nice shirt seems so... frat boy. I love the way a tucked in shirt looks, especially the way it hangs a little if he's fit, and the way you can see his belt. Belts are the sexiest. I think I associate them with all the sex scenes in my life where the belt is always where the woman's hands go first... so showing some belt is good too.

But that's just me.

haha. u crack me up. maybe u should uh...start writing for Msn Dating? hmm? lol *mwah*

Well.

Most frat boys are either too busy breaking the rules or too busy following the rules their moms taught them. Neither of which really comes purely across as style. And a girl could probably tell this if she payed attention.

Anyway, tuckin in is a tricky subject. There are lots of unforseen considerations here. First, you have to consider the persons body type - some people just do not have the body structure to tuck in properly. Second you have to consider the shirt fit - if you did a bad job with the fitting of the shirt, it isnt going to tuck in well. Third, you should consider context - again, being tucked in all the time usually comes across as stuffy. Fourth - you have to consider the pants - tuckin in to jeans, a little weirder than you would think. And there are more.

I guess my overall point here is that "Always Tuck In" is a bad rule to die by.

And my corollary is ... *Think* about what you are saying in *every* aspect of your style.

I think you misunderstood. I did not say having your shirt untucked makes you a frat boy. I said it makes you look like one.

Regardless of what other people think "looks stuffy," I (and the females I've had this discussion with) think a tucked-in shirt just outright looks better.

But if he doesn't have the body type to pull it off, or can't even buy a shirt that fits right, I'm probably not attracted to him anyway.

Besides, the tuck is very versatile and fitting to many situations. It fits in a professional context obviously, and for an every day casual look, rolling the sleeves up to the elbows and tucked loosely is seriously sexy.

I'm sure there's contexts where going untucked is fine, and I'm not totally opposed to it, I just don't find it nearly as attractive.

And did I forget to mention that you should consider the girl?

I bet in less than 15 minutes of talkin to you, I could guess that you preferred a tucked in look. :)

excellent answer.
