OMG, love it. LOVE! Hey, btw I've been going to swing dance every Friday night and I love it! It's so much fun, even though I barely know what I'm doing. There are some amaaazing guys and they sure know how to make a girl look like she can dance! Oh, and I'm obsessed with Balboa.
Ive never done Bal. But I know a couple people who totally dig it too.
Honestly, a good leader is an idiot too. Cause one of his primary goals is to make the girl look like she is a phenomenal dancer, for everyone else to see. (this usually results in her being unavailable for him later!).
Dont be discouraged at all about not knowing what you are doing. Your primary goal is to learn how to listen. Once you get that down, you will never sit out ... any style of dance. True following is the only skill that really matters, and will accelerate your learning for everything.
